My name is Paul Cadarette. For the past 18 years, I have been volunteering my services,
as a screen-writer, director, and occasional actor, to the West Valley High School’s
School of Film and Technology ( S.O.F.T) program. The S.O.F.T. Program introduces
the art of film to interested students. We have produced at least one 90 minute feature
film each year, along with P.S.A.s and occasional short films.

It is in this capacity that I met, and have come to know well, Justin Jones. Although a
young High School student when we first met, I was impressed by the breadth and depth
of his knowledge on video editing and photography. He has assisted me in various films
over the past 18 years, most of which were done specifically for S.O.F.T., with a few that
were done independently. In general, he was the primary video editor. Sometimes he led
a team of video editors. As he will likely tell you, my favored story genre demanded a
fair amount of special effects and , as I was learning the craft, I seldom concerned myself
with what was currently possible in the state of the art. Justin met every special effects
challenge , with enthusiasm, and always delivered. I have only recently come to realize
how unique his abilities are. In addition to video editing, he has served as the Director of
Photography (D.P.) and Director on a number of our films.

He has a quick, creative, mind and a calm demeanor, even under the pressure of an often
unrealistic time frame (post-processing schedules for film-making). He is mature beyond
his years and would make a valuable employee to any firm so inclined as to hire him, but
in particular he would be an invaluable asset to any video editing department. He is a
quick study and a hard worker. I would venture to say that it might be difficult to contain
his job responsibilities, once his capacity for growth is understood.

I don’t give my recommendation lightly. I am available as his reference and should you
have any questions, please contact me on my cell phone (951) 662-9489.

Thank you for your kind consideration.
